Work as a volunteer English teacher working under local Dominican teachers in the Ann & Ted Kheel Polytechnic High School, built and equipped by the Puntacana Group Foundation in 2004 in the nearby community of Veron. Give kids the gift of English to become leaders of tomorrow while helping them “pay it forward” through community service in their local communities!

You will be picked up at your hotel in the morning by BeachCorps partner Runners Adventures, the biggest excursion provider in the country that is also highly rated on Trip Advisor.  You will be dropped off in time for lunch.  During your project, you will learn about the mission of the school and of the Puntacana Group Foundation as you teach English as an assistant to children of the school, engaging in multicultural games and possible light manual labor or sports activities. Whatever helps the cause!

The Puntacana Group Foundation is an initiative of the Puntacana Group, the leading tourism organization in the Punta Cana region and a pioneer in sustainable tourism and the owner of the Punta Cana Resort and ClubThis English project is supported by a partnership between the Punta Cana-Bavaro Rotary Club and the MetroBethesda Rotary Club and was presented in the 2018 Rotary Global Conference in Toronto, Canada as an innovative club-to-club partnership designed to boost Rotary’s service mission, membership numbers, and club diversity.
