BeachCorps works to support worthy local nonprofits.

Many volunteer vacations create “causes” designed to please tourists, not produce real results.  Not BeachCorps.

BeachCorps nonprofits are officially recognized nonprofits with a strong commitment to sustainability and empowering local communities. Each local partner has been selected after 10 years of research into the best Dominican and US nonprofits for long-term sustainability in the Dominican Republic. These nonprofit partners focus on three areas: education and culture; community development; and environment and animals.

When you book an experience on BeachCorps with a local nonprofit, the nonprofit organization dictates the activities the travelers participate in. All activities are locally-requested and have a long-term, positive impact on the community. In the BeachCorps story, our local nonprofit partners are the heroes.

We are committed to providing financial sustainability to our partners as well. Each BeachCorps program has a separate contribution that goes 100% to the nonprofit partner.
