Cancellation Agreement

Weather Conditions: If the tour gets cancelled because of inclement weather (rain does not necessarily cause cancellation), BeachCorps will offer you a reschedule or full refund. Please note that all nonprofit projects already have a “Plan B” Rain Plan that will be fun and help the cause!

Illness: If you get sick before the tour date arrives, BeachCorps will offer you a reschedule or full refund. It will be up to you as well.

No show: If you do not show up to the pick up time and the bus leaves your hotel, you will be conceded with 1 free reschedule. No refund available. If you miss the reschedule pick up, your booking will be lost.

Cancellation: If you would like to cancel the booking just because you do not want to go to the tour anymore:

3-7 days prior the tour: full refund

2-3 days prior the tour: 50% refund

24 hours prior the tour: no refund.

BeachCorps often says that when we grow up we want to be like the great adventure company G Adventures™, which took their responsible tourism policy to such great heights they actually created their own nonprofit, Planeterra.  (BeachCorps wishes it were connected to G Adventures, but has no connection). So BeachCorps has shamelessly copied the G Adventures “Lifetime Deposit” policy with our “Beachtime Deposit” policy.  If you cancel your BeachCorps trip for any reason without qualifying for a full refund, any payment of the one-time BeachCorps booking fee will be FOREVER yours to reapply to another BeachCorps trip in the future.  Just email us at info@beachcorps.com and give us the details of your previous payment and we will credit it to your next trip.  

Unfortunately, all donations to nonprofits are non-refundable, even if the nonprofit cancels the program.  If a nonprofit cancels a program, BeachCorps may, at its discretion, provide a refund.  If you cancel, then know that your donations are going to a good cause and we’ll tell you about the project and great things the cause is doing.  All your hotel and airline refund policies are of course determined by the hotel and airline. BeachCorps seeks to provide an outstanding service travel experience and will always issue a refund, at its sole discretion, when BeachCorps feels that a service travel experience has fallen short of BeachCorps standards.  You understand that all problems with your BeachCorps vacation should be brought to the attention of a BeachCorps employee.  In the unlikely event of a hurricane or other natural disaster requiring the cancellation of the project, BeachCorps will return to clients all excursion and fee payments made to BeachCorps, while the receiving nonprofit will be able to keep any donations made with the understanding that they should seek to use available funds for disaster relief, recovery and development.  BeachCorps will already have hurricane and disaster relief plans in place with nonprofits to ensure that your donations are used effectively not just for relief but to transition towards recovery and development. 

Regarding payments made to your excursion provider through BeachCorps, your cancelation policy will depend on your excursion provider’s cancelation policy.  Currently, our main partner Runners Adventures has the following flexible cancelation policy (which we copied and is one reason we LOVE them):

Since you paid us, BeachCorps will issue you the refund and then get reimbursed from Runners Adventures or any other excursion provider who issues a refund.

All persons taking BeachCorps trips must agree to these terms and conditions.
